Jamie Bailey, a furniture craftsman and the co-owner and co-founder of CR Plastic Products, started out building adirondack chairs made of wood. But he wasn't happy with the idea of cutting down lots of trees to make his chairs. In the early 90s, he began looking at the possibility of using recycled plastic to create his furniture. He liked the idea of preserving timber resources while keeping plastics out of landfills.
By 1994, he had developed a proprietary process for manufacturing plastic lumber that doesn't rot, split or mold. This lumber has the look and feel of wood without the maintenance issues. This furniture feels substantial - it isn't the flimsy stuff most of us are familiar with. CR Plastics furniture comes in 18 vibrant colors that never fade and never need painting. And these chairs are comfy! All products have a limited lifetime warranty.
