Jenn's Family Roasted Pumpkin Seed Recipe

In this blog post, our vegetable buyer, Jenn, graciously shares her cherished family recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds. As autumn settles in, it's the perfect way to enjoy your pumpkins, whether you bought them to carve or for culinary delights. Give these a try, and they'll become a delicious addition to your fall menu.

Ingredients

  • approx. 3 cups of pumpkin seeds

  • salt

  • pepper

  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp of melted butter

  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce

  • 1/4 tsp of Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300F

  2. Gut your pumpkin and separate the fibers from the seeds

  3. Spread the seeds in a single layer in a lined baking sheet and season with salt and pepper

  4. Melt the butter and add the garlic, soy sauce, and Tabasco. Pour the butter mixture over the seeds and stir to make sure seeds are evenly coated.

  5. Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes after the first 15 minutes. They will burn if you don’t watch them.
