Class Description
Curious about citrus? Join Chelsea as she breaks down what it takes to grow lemons, limes, and other citrus fruits in the PNW climate. She'll cover watering, fertilizing, and keeping your plants happy through the winter.
Instructor Bio
"Chip" Chelsea Ginn is a lifelong plantsman, horticulturalist, and propagator with a deep focus on fragrant perennials, rare roses, Pacific Northwest natives, and exceptional shrubs and trees. She is the founder of Nosegay Gardens, based near West Seattle, and a staff member at West Seattle Nursery & Garden Center, where she brings expertise in plant production, soil science, and biological pest management rooted in a background in Plant Science and ethnobotany. Her long-term work centers on breeding edible and functional plants for disease resistance, pollinator support, drought tolerance, and nutritional quality, with blueberries and roses among her current breeding projects. She is a strong advocate for food sovereignty, ecological gardening, and making exceptional plants more widely available through small-scale wholesale production. She lives in West Seattle with her family, where she maintains a large personal garden and collection alongside her growing propagation operation.

Arrive on time and dress for the weather. This class will be held outdoors under our carport.
Please use street parking (instead of our parking lot) until the class is complete so customers loading their cars can use the lot.
