West Seattle Art Walk
Join us for West Seattle Art Walk on September 10th from 5-8PM at West Seattle Nursery! We'll be celebrating the work of two of our very own: Lynsey Boyle, known for her vibrant acrylics and watercolor pet portraits, and Loretta of Valley of Stoneware, whose pottery and ceramics we're so excited to share. Music comes courtesy of the West Seattle Ukulele Players starting at 5:30PM. Learn more about the event here.
Harvesting Beans with Kevin
Scarlet runner beans are a garden favorite: fast-growing vines covered in bright red flowers that pollinators love. But many gardeners don't realize the beans are just as versatile as the plant is beautiful — you can eat nearly the whole plant, from pods and shelled beans to dried seeds, flowers, and even the starchy roots. In our newest blog post, Kevin shows how to harvest beans for drying, filmed at our Growing Gardeners Club Demonstration Garden.
