If you’re the kind of gardener who likes to be the first on the block with something nobody else has, this post is for you. We love to carry plant varieties that are brand new to the market, and right now our benches are full of them: lacy, jewel-toned coral bells, ruffled pansies from a celebrated Japanese breeder, a still-unreleased black-leaved astilbe, foliage-forward hellebores, and new winter-blooming camellias that bring color when the garden needs it most.

Here’s a look at what’s new in the shop.

FYRE WING™ Heuchera from Terra Nova Nurseries

The FYRE WING™ Heuchera series from Terra Nova Nurseries has arrived! This is a brand-new 2026/2027 release, and we have it in the shop right now. We are so excited about these! Deeply cut, lacy foliage that looks like Japanese maple leaves, on a Heuchera. It’s a first, and it’s gorgeous!

FYRE WING™ Heuchera’ Amber’

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Amber’: A golden-amber shade never before seen in Heuchera! Spring starts pure amber, early summer brings copper highlights and fall finishes in burnished copper-umber. Dense, full, and a wonderful blender in mixed containers (or a showstopper all on its own).

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Hematite’

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Hematite’: Bold, grounded, and rich as iron-red earth. Deeply cut Cordovan red leaves are tipped in copper for a look that’s pure drama. Stunning planted solo as an elegant statement piece.

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Spinel’

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Spinel’: Dusky, velvety, and quietly luminous. Lacy purple-bronze leaves with hints of red and silver form a plush, densely packed mound. Shy flowering, so she stays neat and clean. Gorgeous in containers or on her own.

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Jadeite’

FYRE WING™ Heuchera ‘Jadeite’: Vigorous and calm, with exceptionally fuzzy, fresh green leaves that sparkle with rain, dew, and frost. Worth a closer look, and a great foil for more colorful plants.

Twilight and Antoinette Pansies

Two stunning pansy collections bred by Isao Sato in Japan, and unlike anything else on the market.

Twilight Collection Pansies

Twilight Collection: Rich, saturated color in velvety, ruffled blooms that evoke a starry night. Available in blue, white, wine, and red.

Antoinette Collection Pansies

Antoinette Collection: Lavishly ruffled blooms in soft pastels, from whites and delicate pinks to sunny yellows and gentle purples. The collection is a full-circle story for Sato, whose pansy-breeding passion began with an internship in Colorado in the 1980s.

Astilbe from Proven Winners

Astilbe ‘Dragon’s Lair’

Astilbe ‘Dragon’s Lair’: A brand-new variety that won’t officially be released until 2027! Glossy, crinkly black foliage looks gorgeous from spring to fall. Come summer, rosy-red buds rise above the dark leaves and open into soft, blushing-pink blooms. Grows 26" tall and 18-25" wide, thrives in sun or shade, and is hardy in zones 4-9. It attracts bees, resists deer and rabbits, and is perfect for borders, containers, and cut flowers. We can’t wait to see it flower this summer! Hot Tip: Astilbes love consistently moist soil, so keep them well watered!

The Rockies Hellebores

Hellebores are usually all about the flowers, but this series is all about the foliage. The Rockies series includes six plants, each named after a Rocky Mountain peak, with unique foliage on every one. The bold, spiky, textured evergreen leaves stay interesting long after the blooms fade, and the plants are hardy in zones 6-9.

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Mount Nebo’

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Mount Nebo’: New growth emerges bright red in fall and early spring, then matures to pink, white and green speckled leaves. It won a Retailers’ Choice Award at Cultivate’24.

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Pike’s Peak’

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Pike’s Peak’: Spiky, silver-grey leaves topped with vibrant chartreuse flowers.

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Hollowtop Mountain’

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Hollowtop Mountain’: Bright white flowers over green foliage with marbled veining, and reddish leaf stalks as the leaves mature.

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Grand Teton’

The Rockies Helleborus ‘Grand Teton’: Sumptuous burgundy blooms with yellow anthers that contrast with the unusual foliage.

All of them are great for shady borders and woodland gardens, and they offer early-spring nectar and pollen for pollinators. They’re also deer resistant and low maintenance once established.

Winter-Blooming Camellias

Camellias are a Pacific Northwest favorite, and these bring color when little else is in bloom. The Proven Winners® Just Chill® series is bred for improved cold hardiness, with disease-resistant, heat-tolerant evergreen shrubs that bloom from fall into winter.

Camellia Just Chill® ‘Double Pink’

Just Chill® ‘Double Pink’: Soft pink, peony-like double flowers on dark evergreen foliage with showy red new growth. Dense branching and the ability to bloom at a younger age make it an easy camellia to grow.

Just Chill® ‘Double White’: Abundant pure white, anemone-form flowers with bright yellow stamens from mid fall into winter, on an upright mounding shrub that reaches 5 to 8 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. It’s heat tolerant and deer resistant, and works well as a specimen, hedge, or privacy screen.
